It was encouraging to hear that Walton Oak Primary School will be receiving new government investment this year to improve its facilities.
The school will receive two funding allocations from the Department for Education’s Condition Improvement Fund. One is to replace parts of the heating system, and the other is for security and safeguarding works.
Driving improvements in our local schools is an important part of my plan for Elmbridge, and well-maintained facilities are key to this. That’s why this funding is good news for Walton Oak and its pupils – who I enjoyed meeting during a virtual assembly (pictured above) earlier this year.
