It was great to be back at Walton Heritage Day on Saturday, a fantastic local event which always brings the community together to celebrate and promote everything Walton has to offer.
This was particularly important after the cancellation of last year’s event due to Covid – and this year’s event saw the best turnout in its history.
Walton was bustling throughout the day, with residents enjoying the dog show – where I awarded “best in class” to the ridgeback Theo – as well as paddle boarding, a duckathon, and stalls from all sorts of charities and independent businesses. Joanna Gordon and the whole team at the Walton-on-Thames Trading Alliance and Kelly Bliss, Manager of Business Improvement District (BID) in Walton, did a great job organising such a successful event. Thank you also to the Walton Business Improvement District for sponsoring the event.
