This morning, I headed over to Molesey to visit the East Elmbridge Foodbank at their temporary site on Hurst Road. The foodbank has done a great job supporting local communities throughout the pandemic, and it’s been good to volunteer with them several times over the past year.
Today, the foodbank Director Tim Malcom showed me around the warehouse of the new temporary site, and I had a good chat with the rest of the team. We also delivered fresh food to two clients in Esher, and spoke about the team’s efforts to identify a new site for the foodbank, which I’ve been supporting them with.
As ever I was very impressed with the operation at the foodbank and the team’s commitment to those in our communities who need some help. My thanks to Tim, Reverend Alex Munro from St Peter’s in Molesey, and the other volunteers for all their hard work.
