On Friday evening I held my latest live Facebook Q&A session. It was great to see so many local residents submitting questions on a whole range of issues. You can watch the event back here.
We discussed a number of important local issues, including crime, Elmbridge’s developing Local Plan, protecting the Green Belt, and how we can address empty shops on our high streets. I set out why I think the local Conservative candidates in the elections on 6 May are best placed to tackle these issues – and why Lisa Townsend, the Conservative candidate for Surrey’s Police and Crime Commissioner, has the best plan for keeping Elmbridge’s streets safe.
On the national and international fronts, we had questions on travel restrictions over the summer as well as the situations in Afghanistan and Ukraine.
My thanks to everyone who took part in Friday’s session. I’ll keep holding these events regularly, and you can keep an eye on my Facebook page for future dates.
