This morning, I met members of the Hinchley Wood and the Dittons Probus Club, a local group of retired businessmen who keep in touch with the business world by maintaining contact with former colleagues. It’s great that the Club also raises money for charity and supports good causes.
It was interesting to engage with and field questions from residents with a whole range of expertise, from lawyers and engineers to bankers and marketing managers. The discussion covered a diverse set of issues including housing, social mobility and British Foreign Policy. I found the feedback insightful and interesting. My thanks to Edmund Woolley the Chairman and to Simon de Mille the Speaker Secretary and to all the members of the club for their invitation and the very warm welcome.
