Today, I was on-site at the Claygate Community Pool to meet the staff and contractors behind this superb community asset, which is scheduled to open in the Autumn of this year.
When completed, the pool – which will be the UK’s greenest indoor community swimming pool - will be open for the enjoyment of everybody in Claygate and beyond.
The project recently received £363,500 from Surrey County Council’s Your Fund Surrey. I supported this bid for funding back in 2021 – but we still need to raise around £100,000 to get the new facility completed.
Please consider donating via the Claygate Community Pool GoFundMe page – here. If you know anybody who might be interested in supporting this project, then please do share this link with them.
If you are a local business owner who would like to help the Claygate community to reach their fundraising goal, you can also write to me at dominic.raab.mp@parliament.uk for more information on how you can help.
Thank you to Sandra, Gemma, Aine and Brian for welcoming me today.
