This Conservative government is investing £1 million to support our local communities in Elmbridge. As Member of Parliament, I gave my support to the allocation of £1 million across the borough on the strict condition that that three important community projects received funding:
- The Cecil Hepworth Playhouse in Walton-on-Thames,
- The Claygate Community Pool, and
- for the renovation of children’s play parks in Molesey.
In all, I secured £350,000 for these three projects.
The Council have accepted my proposal to fund Claygate Community Pool, three playgrounds in Molesey, and the Cecil Hepworth Playhouse in Walton – vital projects, supported by local residents, that won’t be completed successfully without this extra investment.
£20,000 in the first round of funding was delivered to the Trustees of the Cecil Hepworth Playhouse at the beginning of this year.
