To mark World Book Day 2023, I enjoyed stopping by the drop-in event in Parliament this week.
It was interesting to hear more about how World Book Day works to change lives through a love of books and shared reading. Reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success – more than their family circumstances, their parents’ educational background, or their income.
I have loved reading with my two boys, and it is a pleasure to support World Book Day and the terrific work they are doing to promote a love of reading for all children.
