On Friday morning, I joined up with Helen Watson and her brilliant team at Rentstart, packing and delivering Christmas supplies for homeless people who Rentstart are re-housing locally.
This initiative is a great example of the important work that Rentstart do across the borough. They’ve been active throughout the pandemic, and earlier in the year I saw what a difference they were making for the vulnerable in our communities.
The charity houses and supports around 150 people in a normal year, and it’s been a challenge to adapt to the circumstances presented by Coronavirus. They’ve risen to it admirably, so I am very grateful for their work.
