On Friday I paid a visit to Born from Necessity, an environmentally friendly grocery shop on Buckingham Avenue in Molesey.
Jess Rugeris, the owner, has come up with a great concept where all products – including pastas, cereals and household essentials – are sold without packaging. Customers bring their own containers instead, so cutting down on unnecessary plastic waste. Jess also has interesting plans for an eco-farm at Sunbury Lock, where children can learn about conservation. This sounds like an exciting idea, and I look forward to hearing more about it.
Born from Necessity is a great local shop. They regularly take deliveries of organic produce like cheeses, fruit and vegetables, so it’s well worth taking a look if you’re in the area. You can find out more about the business on their Facebook page here, or website here.
