The Department for Transport is consulting on new a new regime to tackle night-time aviation noise from Heathrow Airport.
Night noise has been a longstanding issue for my constituents and can have a severe impact on health and quality of life.
I have called for the new regime to go further than ever before, with:
- Legally binding targets to reduce the negative impact of aviation noise on my constituents.
- Local authorities to have more say in holding Heathrow to account on meeting these targets.
- Stronger enforcement to protect my constituents from operators flouting the night flight rules.
