This Conservative government is investing £1 million to support our local communities in Elmbridge, and it is vital that this is fairly allocated across the Borough.
In July, I negotiated with Elmbridge Borough Council to ensure that three important community projects were added to the Council’s plan to spend this money. I secured £350,000 of government funding for:
- The Cecil Hepworth Playhouse in Walton-on-Thames,
- The Claygate Community Pool, and
- for the renovation of children’s play parks in Molesey.
I am pleased the Council have accepted my proposal to fund Claygate Community Pool, three playgrounds in Molesey, and the Cecil Hepworth Playhouse in Walton – vital projects, supported by local residents, that won’t be completed successfully without this extra investment.
