Surrey will benefit from an extra £2,448,511 government funding through to 2025 for drug and alcohol treatment, to cut crime and save lives.
The funding will enable Surrey to:
- Recruit more staff to work with people with drug and alcohol problems.
- Support more prison leavers into treatment and recovery services.
- Invest in enhancing the quality of treatment they provide – in turn helping make streets safer by getting people out of the addictions which are known to drive offending.
This funding will help more people access the support they need and prevent nearly 1,000 drug related deaths across England, while making our streets safer through recovery from the addictions that are known to drive offending, protecting our communities.
My Plan for Esher and Walton constituency includes making our streets safer by getting more criminal offenders off drugs and into work. You can read more at: https://www.dominicraab.com/campaigns/making-streets-esher-and-walton-constituency-safer.
