Earlier this year I posted about my support for East Elmbridge Foodbank – and particularly with their efforts to identify a new permanent site, having found a temporary base near Hurst Park.
It’s great to hear that the foodbank has now reached an agreement with Surrey County Council (SCC) to use the Hurst Park site for two years. I’ve been engaging with SCC throughout this process, so it’s good to see it reach a successful conclusion and thank you to Tim Oliver, Leader of SCC, for getting this sorted.
The East Elmbridge Foodbank has done an important job supporting local communities during the pandemic. The new permanent site will ensure that it can continue to help those who need it.
