It was a valuable to meet with Michael McDonagh, the new CEO at PA Housing, to hear about his vision for the future of PA Housing.
Since the launch of my PA Housing Feedback Form in March, I have heard from hundreds of local residents who are concerned about the level of service PA Housing may be providing them as tenants. I passed this feedback onto Michael, and it was valuable to hear about the steps he, and the new leadership team at PA Housing, are taking to improve outcomes for tenants.
To help with completing outstanding repairs, PA Housing have started a new contract with construction group, Wates, starting on 2 June 2023. They will be writing to local residents in due course to update them on the details of this new contract.
Furthermore, to help residents who may be experiencing financial strain as a result of increasing costs, PA Housing have introduced a £1.3 million relief fund, comprising three packages:
- Urgent necessities such as food, household essentials, energy, mobile data, and emergency travel costs
- Higher cost items such as white goods and school uniforms
- Support for residents struggling to pay their rent or service charges
You can find out more and apply for the PA Housing support fund here.
Under Michael’s leadership, I hope PA Housing tenants can start to see a difference in the level of service provided from PA Housing. However, if you are experiencing problems in your home, please fill out my feedback form here so I can raise your concerns with PA Housing on your behalf.
