I was down in Molesey first thing this morning, meeting up with local Conservative councillor Steve Bax and Jill Sanders from Friends of Hurst Park.
Jill does great work to protect and promote Hurst Park, which is a beautiful area of land and an important asset for the community. We spoke about Jill’s plan to apply to Surrey County Council to have Hurst Park registered as a “commons”. This should both help to protect the area against development, but also tackle the unauthorised moorings on the River Thames that have been a problem in the area.
Next, Steve and I headed over to Molesey Library, where we thanked Tammy and the team for their hard work and ingenuity during the pandemic. It was great to see the library back to normal hours again. My thanks to Steve, Jill and Tammy for taking to time to talk about these important local issues this morning.
