I appreciated a recent update from Surrey County Council about the work they’ve done to improve roads and pavements in Esher and Walton.
In total, 108 maintenance works have been completed in Esher and Walton since 2016, breaking down into 69 roadworks and 39 pavement works. Five further works are due to be completed by the end of this financial year.
Poorly maintained roads and pavements can have a real impact on residents’ quality of life, so these number are very welcome. The council have assured me that they are increasing their investment in Surrey’s roads next year, so I will keep a close eye on what that means for our area.
