To support hard-working local families with the cost of living, we secured a £400 grant for all domestic energy customers, a £650 cost of living payment for those on low incomes, and a £300 cost of living payment for vulnerable pensioners in 2022.
Next, under our plan, an additional £900 will be paid to those on means tested benefits; £300 to pensioners receiving Winter Fuel Payments and £150 to those on disability benefits. 7,000 constituents on means tested benefits and 6,300 constituents on disability benefits will receive payments across 2023.
We increased National Living Wage to £10.42 an hour from April 2023, benefitting 2 million workers.
As Member of Parliament for Esher and Walton constituency, I am committed to helping my constituents with the cost of living. If you live in the constituency and require any assistance, please do not hesitate to get in touch or arrange to see me at surgery.
