Championing our High Streets

Businesses in Elmbridge benefitted from £48.7 million in government Covid-19 business grants. Now my focus is on helping local businesses thrive and grow. I am supporting local Chambers of Commerce and Business Improvement Districts to help our High Streets prosper and cut red tape for local businesses.


Drop-in surgery in Cobham

It was great to be at Sainsbury’s in Cobham on Friday for my latest drop-in surgery.  

I enjoyed meeting residents and hearing their concerns on local issues including crime, housing, and healthcare, and taking questions on the Government’s exit strategy from the pandemic.  

More investment in local hospitals

It is very good news that two of our local hospitals have received significant government investment to tackle important maintenance issues.

In recent weeks there have been some very welcome funding announcements for local A&Es, which will help them to prepare for winter.

Update from South East Coast Ambulance Service

It was good to speak to Philip Astle and David Astley from South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) today. SECAmb responds to 999 and 111 calls across Surrey and the south east, and we have two of their ambulance stations locally, in Esher and Walton.
