This conservative government has set out a clear plan to get 3.5 million people across the country active by 2030, including one million young people. It is important that people of all ages have access to high-quality sports facilities to stay active and healthy. Further to this, sports facilities play an important role in our local communities.
This is why the government has announced that more than 1,100 grassroots sports projects will benefit from £93 million of funding, with Esher and Walton constituency set to receive £7,731 in funding for new goal posts at Claygate Royals, Esher FC and Molesey Juniors.
This is great news for three fantastic local clubs, and I look forward to seeing how this government investment will improve football facilities in our communities.
